Just had a chat with our previous manager, who called into my village local in Lancashire. He was in company, so I waited a while before going over to talk to him. What a thoroughly decent guy! We chatted for a good 5 - 10 minutes and it was clear that, not only was he sorry to (have to) leave us, but he loves the club and wishes us well for the future. He called Sullivan a "balloon case" and said that the chaos he inherited was bound for relegation. He wanted to stay for the long term and, while he is still sad to no longer be our manager, wishes us nothing but the best for the future. I said the same to him and, after a few crossed Hammers photos and a manly hug, we returned to our friends.

FWIW Gaffa, I was against your appointment at first, but over the course of your time with us that really turned around, and I think you carried yourself with a great deal of class & dignity, especially the last few days.
You would be well advised to stop all this though. You are fondly remembered at the club, don’t spoil your legacy with the behaviour of a lesser man.

I quite like Moyes when I hear him speaking as a pundit.
However, his approach in the cup games, and general refusal to play Hernandez, left me wanting him out the door ASAP.

He did what he was hired to do and was impressed by the way he behaved and the things he said when he left.
I definitely have a higher opinion of him than before he came to us and I’d shake his hand and buy him a beer.
Hope he does well where he goes next but I’m glad we have Pellegrini instead.
